Far out on the lake we spotted a form walking toward shore. Zooming in to 300mm determined the moving form was a fox. It limped as it traveled. Earlier in the day we heard reports about some idiot setting snares in the area. This fox got caught and tangled in the snare and was seen in the area limping around dragging the snare. Happily, other than the limp, it “seems” all right and the fox got out of the snare. Maybe we should set snares for trappers.

Same day, different Great horned Owl chick. Wednesday I posted this Owl chick, http://northmetrophoto.com/great-horned-owl-chick/ which is not too far from this owl chick. Exciting to see two different owl chicks in one day!

This little Great Horned Owl chick decided to roost in a tree along a well used path. It is no wonder he can not get any rest with so much foot traffic past his tree. Not to mention the constant click of the camera shutter from so many photographers.
