  1. Wow! Wild photo there, Rob. I’m sure that Walleye was happy to not be dinner.

  2. Nothing tastes better than flash frozen walleye and northern pike. He sure looks like a keeper.

  3. The “sport” remains a mystery to me. Too cold; I’ll pick up my walleye at the market or enjoy it at Tavern on Grand in St. Paul. This photo is quite outstanding, but still rather sobering to me. I like my food better if I don’t always know the origins!!

  4. Put a big ole V in the exotic column. And BTW Rob, that ain’t no way to fish. Brrrrrr

  5. Well, that’s an impressive fish even if a bit too small! I fished for walleye when a kid … great eating fish.

Never did any ice fishing, though. You’ve gotta be …. ah …. Minneesotan thru and thru!

    Nice shot, Rob!

  6. Great shot! Love the bubbles. Was that right in the process of the release?
I wonder if the original “natives” built ice teepees and went fishing in February up there. Do you know?

  7. Definitely exotic to me! That first shot is awesome.

  8. I absolutely love these photos.

I even had to get my hubby in here to see them… as he has a desire to ice-fish and has never been and frankly I am too chicken and not loving the icy cold temps.
