Goblet Three

Over a week ago I helped Mitchster set up his wall space in the Northrup King Building in N.E. Minneapolis Arts District. While he was measuring and checking his numbers for pin point accurate placement for locating the prints on the wall, I sought after something to photoshoot. On the ledge in front of the window were these three goblets. The vibrant red glimmered from the outdoor light.

I wanted to maintain the linear roof in the background to compliment the pattern beneath the glass. Exposing for the bright outdoor light made the indoor features much too dark. My choice to remedy the properly exposed background and poorly exposed foreground was to add fill light. I left my flash on camera but aimed it upward bouncing the light off the ceiling.
